What we have done.

We have cut an paste from other sources the code needed to generate the various sections of a page.
Here we will see all the "lego bricks" that make up your theme, These are all the really big bricks that you would use to get a layout for your theme.

As you can see, they are a bit all over the place and need some serious adjustment. Yet in step 1, the side bar, appears to automatically fit to length. This is because the code we have entered, has over written the originally settings , that were correct.

Using the CSS editor in fire fox, play with the numbers, to see the changes you make.

What we are going to do

As most of these settings are correct in the base css, we shall remove a lot of the code, just keeping the colours and borders for clarity.
